We offer three service options, which comprise the following:
Standard - £500 Express - £900 Critical - £1500
Our 'Standard Data Recovery Service' is a 2-4 day working day service, 'Express Data Recovery Service' is 1-2 working days and our 'Critical Data Recovery Service' is usually 24 hours. The above pricing is based on a standard 3 disk Raid 5 Adaptec system. If there are more disks or a rebuild has taken place then the price will be more.
We have an office in both Belfast and London so disk's can be dropped off or sent into us via the postal or courier system. Adaptec Raid Card systems have been extremely popular over the last few years due to their good name and robust technology. While very good raid controllers for servers, Adaptec cards , like all other systems, they do fail. A sudden failure of the Adaptec Controller server can be caused by one or more disk failed in the raid array, Adaptec raid controller has stopped working or hard disks have become corrupted either on their own or from the result of an upgrade or rebuild. 99% of the time we can recover from these type of failures.
Recovery Process:
Depending on the type of Adaptec Raid system, the data recovery process can take several paths depending on the Adaptec Raid configuration of your server system.
In all cases all hard disks are imaged as part of our standard recovery procedure. This ensures the intergity of the original hard disk's.
We then work with the hard disk images to process the Adaptec Raid system by recompiling the data. This process depends on your Adaptec Raid configutation but often involves de-stripping or recompiling the hard disk images and then processing the data.
We are the only data recovery company that images all hard disks before and after de-stripping-recompiling to ensure the highest possible chance of recovering your data.
If you are unsure what the file system configuration is we can also determine the configuration for you.
Adaptec Server Raid Configuration:
Adaptec controllers support several different data storage configurations, which provide the owner/business of the system with different data protection levels and different recovery chances if the Server fails.
RAID 0: Data is distributed across the drives. This is the best-performing configuration with maximum data capacity. A single drive failure causes loss of all the data. This method is gradually getting replaced with other raid configurations but is still being used in basic Adaptec systems. Dell still use this configuration on some of their basic home servers.
RAID 1: In this configuration two shared disks are mirrored. This configuration provides great speed but only half of the potential storage capacity. This configuration is rarely used on servers but we still see some Adaptec controller systems with this configuration.
JBOD: This ensures full storage capacity and good performance. Single drive failure may cause all data loss. We see this very rarely on an server using an Adaptec controller.
RAID 5: This is now the most popular and the default for the latest Raid servers using Adaptec controllers. Data is distributed across the drives using backward parity rotation. This configuration is fast but space equal to one disk's capacity is lost. The server system will continue to operate normally even after single drive failure. 95% of Adaptec jobs we receive in are setup as Raid 5.

Step 1
Telephone us on 0800 075 0720 for a quote. Remove disk's from server and label them in numbering sequence as per server. Phone us on 0800 075 0720 to arrange to drop of the disk to us. If you are posting in disks to us please send the Hard Drives via a suitable postage service along with your Contact Details (Full Name, Full Postal Address, Phone Number, Email Address). If you don't specify standard of service the Raid system will get booked in under our standard service. You can use the 'Shipping Form' to print out your details and send with hard disks. We recommend Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. It is a guaranteed next day service so if you send today we will receive tomorrow. Step 2
Once we receive server disks we will inspect and perform a full diagnostic on disks to confirm the problem and the level of data recovery that we can attain from your Raid system, we will contact you ASAP to determine what data you want recovered. We normally be in contact within 24 hours with the average standard recovery job taking 4 days to complete.Step 3
We recover the data and send you details via email for you to confirm the data before you pay us for the recovery services. Once we receive payment we will backup the data you want and copy the contents onto a suitable media. We normally advise all cleints to get everyting backed up to either data dvd or an external/portable hard disk.Step 3
We send the recovered data back to you via a Next Day Courier Service. Our aim to complete the Data Recovery Service within 24-96 hours of receiving the hard disks. We believe we offer the quickest turnaround service and best value data recovery service within the UK and Ireland.
