Our Iomega pricing starts at £249+vat for our standard recovery service. We offer Iomega hard drive recovery services for any Iomega interface including EXTERNAL, NAS, IDE, SATA, SCSI, SAS etc. We recover 95% of all Iomega hard disk systems and have recovered from 1000's of Iomega hard disk's over the last 10+ years. Call us on 0800 075 0720 for a free quote.
We offer three service options, which comprise the following:
Standard - £249 Express - £399 Critical - £599
Our 'Standard Data Recovery Service' is a 2-4 day working day service, 'Express Data Recovery Service' is 1-2 working days and our 'Critical Data Recovery Service' is usually 24 hours. We recover 95% of all Iomega hard disk systems for our standard price of £249+vat providing the disk does not have a mechanical failure. The above pricing is based on a one disk system, if there is more than one disk then the pricing will revert to our raid pricing structure.
We have an office in both Belfast and London so disk's can be dropped off or sent into us via the postal or courier system. We specialise in recovering data from failed Iomega NAS-Raid systems including Iomega StorCenter Pro, Iomega Ultramax, Iomega Black, Iomega Silver, Iomega Network Attached Storage, iomega eGo.
We have been recovering Data from all Iomega systems going back the last 10+ years. Our expertise is 2nd to none and in 95% of Iomega Data Recovery cases we recover all data. We backup our expertise with our No Fix No Fee service so if we do not recover your data we don't charge you.
We recover Iomega systems from all types of operating systems including Windows 7, Windows Vista, XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows Dos, Apple OSX 10 Leopard, Apple OSX 10 Tiger, Apple OSX 10 Panther, Linux or Unix. So no matter what the file system is, whether its Apple HFS+, Windows NTFS, Linux Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, XFS or ZFS we can recover your data for you. Iomega External drive systems also come preconfigured as Network Attached Storage devices (NAS) and means that they are setup in a multi disk Raid setup such as Raid 0, Raid 1 or Raid 5. We have recovered data from Iomega NAS Raid systems for many of the top UK and Ireland companies throughtout the last 10+ years.
Buffalo systems have been extremely popular over the last few years due to their good name and robust technology. While very good hard disk drives, Iomega, like all other systems, they do fail. A sudden failure of the Iomega system normally means that the software firmware configuration or electronics has failed in most cases.
Recovery Process:
Depending on the type of Iomega system, the data recovery process can take several paths depending on the Iomega configuration of your system.
In all cases all hard disks sent in for recovery are diagnosed to establish cause of failure. We then go about resolving the hardware or software issue and get the drive to a state that we can perform a 100% image of the disk. We image all hard disks as standard during our recovery procedure. This ensures the intergity of the original hard disk.
We then work with the hard disk image to process the Iomega file system and extract the data.
We recover Iomega systems from all operating systems inclusing Apple Mac, Windows, Linux and Unix systems. So no matter whether its Apple HFS+, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, XFS or ZFS we can recover your data for you. If you are unsure what the file system configuration is we can also determine the configuration for you.
Iomega NAS Raid Configuration:
Iomega NAS External devices support several different data storage configurations, which provide the owner of the system with different data protection levels and different recovery chances if the Iomega NAS (Network Attached Storage) system fails.
RAID 0: This is the default Iomega NAS configuration for older Iomega NAS system's. Data is distributed across the drives. This is the best-performing configuration with maximum data capacity. A single drive failure causes loss of all the data. This method is gradually getting replaced with other raid configurations but is still being used in older Iomega NAS systems.
RAID 1: In this configuration two shared disks are mirrored. This configuration provides great speed but only half of the potential storage capacity. This configuration is rarely used on Iomega NAS devices but we still see some Iomega NAS systems with this configuration.
JBOD: In this configuration data on the Iomega NAS System is spanned along all disks. This ensures full storage capacity and good performance. Single drive failure may cause all data loss. We also see this configuration on older Iomega NAS devices.
RAID 5: This is now the most popular and the default for the latest Iomega NAS systems. Data is distributed across the drives using backward parity rotation. This configuration is fast but space equal to one disk's capacity is lost. The Iomega NAS system will continue to operate normally even after single drive failure.
Iomega Hard drive systems support different interfaces. Some of the interfaces supported include: Iomega PATA Drives, Iomega SATA Drives, Iomega Portable Drives, Iomega Mobile Drives, Iomega IDE Drives, Iomega SATA Drives, Iomega SATA II Drives, Iomega SATA 2 Drives, Iomega SATA III Drives, Iomega SATA 3 Drives, Iomega eSATA, Iomega SAS Drives, Iomega SCSI Drives, iSCSI, Iomega ESDI Drives, Iomega Fibre Channel Drives, Iomega USB Drives, Iomega Firewire Drives and Iomega PCMCIA Drives.
Iomega hard disk devices are well-known for their factory firmware problems. Iomega Hard Drives contain Factory Firmware which is stored on the disk platters in the so-called System (Service) Area of the hard disk. If one of the disk modules becomes corrupted the whole hard disk micro-operating system can't boot up, the drive cannot initialise correctly and thus stops working. If you attempt to boot up from such a Iomega hard drive or read any data from it you would get "Disk boot failure. Insert system disk and press enter" or "Primary Master Hard Disk Fail" or "No operating system found" or "USB Device malfunctioned" error or "S.M.A.R.T. Capable But Command Failed" or some other BIOS error.
Currently there is no way to fix this type of firmware corruption at home. It is quite a complicated procedure and requires use of specialised expensive equipment and deep knowledge of hard drive design and data recovery technology.
Common Iomega Error Messages:
- Clicking / Ticking / Scratching / Grinding Sounds
- Not spinning, Not powering on at all
- Drive not working after Power Surge
- Freezing or locking up the computer or buring smell from system
- Not detected by computer's CMOS/BIOS
- Water or Liquid spilled on Hard Disk
- Accidental reformatting of partitions, Accidental Deletion of Data, Virus Problems
- Hard disk is unable to be accessed ( Inaccessible drive or partition )
- Unable to boot computer due to system getting dropped.
- The disk is seen in Operating System but asking to be formatted
- Front red light on system not displaying
- Error reporting ' Primary Master disk failed, Press F1 to continue'
